There is no question that the American Sports Industry is one of the most influential and lucrative enterprises in history. The sporting world reaches far beyond the scope of the games played on the field or court or rink: sports impacts politics, the economy, culture, religion and nearly every other aspect of life. In order to be a well informed, well rounded individual, we believe that you must know something about sports. And if nothing else, you need to know how to fake it!

This website is a guide for people who don’t know about sports, but want to be able to engage in conversations  about sports. We were tempted to call this an idiot’s guide to sports, but it’s much more than that, and not liking sports doesn’t make you an idiot. This website does not only provide information about things that you may have over heard about sports, but it gives you a chance to be, and sound, more informed about the world of sports that surrounds you.

We are always looking for feedback and contributors to share ideas about how to quickly make your friends, family and colleagues think you’re the Michael Jordan (arguably the greatest Basketball player of all time) of sports current events.
